What to Know
The Detroit Pistons are home Wednesday, but with the point spread against them by 8.5 points, it might not be quite the welcoming they would prefer. They will take on the New York Knicks at 7 p.m. ET at Little Caesars Arena after having had a few days off. Detroit hasn’t won a game against New York since Nov. 6 of 2019, but they’ll be looking to end the drought.
The Pistons were pulverized by the San Antonio Spurs 144-109 on Sunday. Detroit was in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 78-54. The top scorer for Detroit was shooting guard Hamidou Diallo (28 points).
Meanwhile, New York was able to grind out a solid win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday, winning 96-88. Center Mitchell Robinson was the offensive standout of the contest for the Knicks, dropping a double-double on 18 boards and 14 points.
In the teams’ previous meeting earlier this month, the Pistons lost to New York on the road by a decisive 105-91 margin. Maybe Detroit will have more luck at home instead of on the road? Watch the matchup and check back on CBS Sports for all the details.
