Grizzlies vs. Pelicans: How to watch live stream, TV channel, NBA start time

Who’s Playing

New Orleans @ Memphis

Current Records: New Orleans 36-44; Memphis 55-25

What to Know

The Memphis Grizzlies will be returning home after a two-game road trip. The Grizz and the New Orleans Pelicans will face off in a Southwest Division battle at 6 p.m. ET Saturday at FedExForum. The Grizzlies are out to keep their nine-game home win streak alive.

The game between Memphis and the Denver Nuggets on Thursday was not a total blowout, but with Memphis falling 122-109 on the road, it was darn close to turning into one. The Grizz was down 105-78 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. One thing holding Memphis back was the mediocre play of small forward Dillon Brooks, who did not have his best game: he finished with 12 points on 6-for-15 shooting in his 26 minutes on the court.

Meanwhile, you’re bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that’s exactly how it played out for New Orleans on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 127-94 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers at home. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point New Orleans had established a 101-76 advantage. Their success was spearheaded by the efforts of center Willy Hernangomez, who posted a double-double on 17 points and 14 boards, and shooting guard CJ McCollum, who shot 5-for-10 from beyond the arc and finished with 23 points and seven dimes.

The Grizz is expected to win this handily, but they should have beaten the Houston Rockets March 6 easily too and instead slipped up with a 123-112. In other words, don’t count the Pelicans out just yet.
